This week, we learned that making peace is part of God’s game plan, and Abigail showed us how powerful peace can be when things feel tense.
As a family, you have the perfect opportunity to bring that truth home and put it into action.
TRY THIS: “THE PEACE CHALLENGE”
At dinner, in the car, or before bed, ask everyone in the family to share:
- A times this week, they wanted to get upset or frustrated.
- What it looked like (or what it could have looked like) to choose peace instead.
Then, challenge each other:
- Can you find a way to be a peacemaker tomorrow – at school, at home, or with a friend?
- Write down a check in the next day!
TODAY’S FAMILY PRAYER:
God, thank You for giving us a chance to make peace in words, actions, and attitudes. Help us be a family that chooses peace, even when it’s hard. Fill our home with Your presence and Your plan. Amen.
CLOSING THOUGHT:
Peace isn’t just something we talk about at church, it’s something we live out at home, one moment, one choice, and one prayer at a time.
