Before the school year begins, take a few minutes today to gather as a family. This quick activity will help your kids begin to think about trusting God’s plan, even when things feel new or uncertain.
FAMILY ACTIVITY: “MY GAME PLAN”
Supplies: A piece of paper and a writing or drawing utensil.
Each family member draws or writes one thing they’re hoping for this school year – a new friend, better grades, more confidence, less fear, etc.
Thank ask:
- What would it look like to trust God with that hope or goal?
- How can we support one another this year through prayer and encouragement?
Put your “game plans” on the fridge as a reminder that God’s plan is bigger and better than ours.
MONTHLY MEMORY VERSE:
"But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purpose of his heart through all generations" - Psalm 33:11 (NIV)
TODAY’S PRAYER:
God, thank You that Your plans are strong, steady and good. Help our family trust You with this season, and remind us that You are alwasy in control. Amen.
CLOSING THOUGHT:
Whether your child is nervous, excited, or still unsure, you’re giving them something powerful: the reminder that God’s plan is steady-even when life changes.
